At my first post-op appointment, the binder-foam and my drains were removed.

( deep breaths, deep breaths )

The LTC nurses seemed pleased with how I'm healing.

LTC nurse: "Ok, 3,"

I got lucky, with very minimal swelling!

LTC nurse: "2..."

The drains coming out was a bit scary, but only briefly painful.

LTC nurse: "1!"

I got to see what my chest was looking like for the first time ❤
