We enter a flashback to the pair's school days. Their teacher, Facet, is lecturing them. "Enjoy your work, but don't put too much of yourself in it, lest you get {fatally lost}."
Baby Quinn raises a hand. "What does that mean?" He asks.
Facet ruffles Quinns hair, a gesture equally as affectionate as it is serious. "It is to become so inter-woven with the work, that it becomes you and you become it", they explain.
Phi now raises her hand; "Is that a bad thing?"
Facet sighs, "To some, perhaps not. But you would never be able to create again. At least, not in the same way."
Quinn, startled by this new information, blurts: "N-NEVER CREATE AGAIN?!?!", with a face that says that, to him, this would be a fate worse than death.
