Transcript

Unfold your zine one last time and cut a slit down the center.

( The paper is drawn in a portrait orientation. It's split into 8 sections by the creases created in the previous folds. Along the vertical centre fold, the two middle sections are the parts that need to be cut along the creases. )

And then fold it into a booklet.

( Fold the zine in half from left to right/right to left, and then push the two sections at the ends together. This should get you a sort of cross shape, which you can fold down into pages. )

( An alternate folding method is to fold the paper in half from top to bottom, and then take the two sections along the cut edges and gently pull them apart. This should also get you that cross shape which can be folded down into pages. )

Author Comment:

I feel like I've done a questionable job explaining how to fold this, so here's a short video of me trying to show how 2 different folding methods.

The zine in the video had already been folded, so it already "wants" to be folded a certain way - this is how I normally do it, but what I'm saying is it will probably be more fiddly than in the recording.
